Last year we discovered that our local library has this special time on Wednesdays mornings carved out for what they call "Family Story Time." It's a special time that kids 6 and under can come sing songs, dance and listen to stories. Cohen LOVED it!!! He would ask every day if it was library day. This fall with Kirsten being so small and not on a set schedule yet we have only made it a couple of times. But I saw that this morning they were having a special "Pete the Cat" party. For those of you who are not familiar, "Pete the Cat" is series of books about this cat that has special shoes or buttons or whatever and has songs that go along with the story. Cohen and Kendall LOVE these books. So when I saw that this was happening I knew I had to make sure I got the girls there. Not only did they read and dance with all the books but also had crafts that the kids could make. I was surprised for how much Kendall dances at home, how shy she was with all the kids today. She wanted to stay right by Kirsten and I. Which tells me we may need to make this more a habit so maybe next time she won't be so shy ;)
