Visiting friends

We love spending time with friends! And the other day we were invited to some friends who recently moved to a new house. We went to see the new house and to catch up because it had been a few months since we had seen them. It always feels like no time had passed. The kids jumped right in and were so excited to play with their buddies again. It was a warm day so being outside in the water was a must!!

It's getting hot in here!!!

Oh boy!! Weather in MI is HOT!! I think we hit 100 today! Yuck!! This is the time I am very thankful for air conditioning + our pool + my parents house on the lake! We have been very fortunate for lots of fun on the water this summer!!

July 4th part 2

The 4th of July was packed with fun. In the morning we headed to the Kentwood parade with our neighbor friends. The kids were pretty excited about all the trucks and of course the candy :)

Then we headed home, packed up a few things and headed to my Uncle Steve's new cottage. My dad's mom's birthday is the 4th of July so we use it as a birthday party and family reunion all rolled into one. This year was spent swimming, boat riding, playing in the sand, lots of eating food and catching up with the family.
