Christmas eve after celebrating with my family we put the kids in their pjs and headed to Owosso. It had begun to snow and the roads started getting pretty bad but we made it a little before midnight. Kendall was exhausted and asked to go to bed. Cohen we on a "Christmas high." He and Jenna were sooo excited for Santa to come. Grandma even showed them a special message from Santa informing them he was on his way after checking his list and finding out they had made the good list :) We finally got them all to bed and we spent a few min stuffing the stockings and laying out the presents. Another tradition we started a few years ago was to write a letter to Jesus, saying what we hoped we would do in the next year, things we were thankful for and things we would seek forgiveness for. Finally it was time for bed!!
The next morning the kids woke early and headed down the stairs to discover Santa had made it and there was fresh snow on the ground. Cohen was super excited that Santa remembered he had asked for a bird!! Kendall was still super tired and couldn't handle all the noise so she went back to bed and we continued to open presents with out her. It was such a fun day filled with lots of laughter and smiles!!!
