We have been married for over 7 years. We were high school sweethearts and our love grew from there. We always knew we wanted a family and were thrilled when we found out we were expecting the first time. Cohen joined our family and our life has never been the same!! Kendall joined us a little while later and we were amazed at how different girls can be from boys :) We have now added another little character to our zoo. We are so thankful for God's blessings and can't wait to see where He takes us.

I won't always cry, Mummy,

When you leave the room

and my supermarket tantrums
,
Will end too soon,

I won't always wake, Daddy,

For cuddles through the night

& one day you'll miss,

Having a chocolate face to wipe
.
You won't always wake to find my foot,

is kicking you out of bed,

Or find me sideways on your pillow,
,
Where you want to lay your head.

You won't always have to carry me,

In asleep from the car,

Or piggy back me down the road,

When my little legs can't walk that far,

So cherish every cuddle,

Remember them all,

Because one day, Mummy.

I won't be this small.

Though we may have rough days I need to remind myself that one day I am really going to miss these moments. They won't always need their "mommy" or want to constantly want to be by my side. They won't be begging me to "watch mommy watch" over and over again when my eyes haven't strayed from the first time they asked. I won't always have "visitors" when I am trying to get 5 min of peace in my shower. Someday we will be trying to find time to sit down at the table all together and I will be remembering the time when they would fight over who would pray at that meal.
It's hard to lose sight of this on the bad days.
The days I want to pull my hair out.
The days I look around my house and everything I just cleaned up is spread all over the floor 2 seconds later.
So I will come back to this poem and these photos, take a deep breath and remind myself time goes too fast!!!

with love from the zoo
